Four Seasons Window
at Lake Tulloch, CA.

Please scroll down for pictures.

This client's vision was a window designed to represent the four seasons.
She wanted a Humming Bird and California Poppies to represent Spring.
She felt that a Canoe and a Stream or Lake would represent her family's activities in Summer.
She chose Oak Leaves and Acorns for Fall,
and a Snowflake and Bare Branches for Winter.

The Mountain in the center is a prominent feature of the landscape near her vacation home.

The snowflake was made using a combination of Diamond shaped Jewels, bevels, and art glass.

The sky was made from a continuous piece of Wissmach art glass.
The border represents the Tree of Life, a Pomegranate Tree.
Here in the Spring section of the window you see the blossom which has formed along the newly-budding branches.

The humming bird is an iridescent green.
Golden California hillsides, California Poppies, a Stone,
and a nice lazy Log

In the Fall section of the window, the Pomegranate leaves are turning yellow and the fruit is beginning to swell.

Ricardo Quintero, Owner of Quintero Custom Cabinets, for building the wood frame.  He can be reached at (650) 464-1639.
I would like to thank the following people for their help in bringing her vision to fruition:
Sean Le and Connie Caldwell for helping to prepare some of the nearly 900 pieces of hand-cut glass,
Josh Moon for a great deal of help with assistance in final framing,
as well as Transportation,
and beautiful Installation of the art work.
Josh can be reached at (831) 246-2792
Two verticle support beams were created to give the window the firmness it would need to keep from bowing from the weight of the glasswork.
I sandwiched a steel rod between 2 H Zinc Cames
and then decoratively soldered them together into 1 super strong unit.  This worked very well and the decorative soldering looks wonderfully Organic.
